Hi, I'm Elle!
I am a licensed mental health counselor in South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, and Florida who believes therapy should feel collaborative, not clinical in the cold sense of the word.
My clinical foundation is in trauma-focused work, and over the years I've developed a specialty in executive functioning support, helping clients navigate ADHD, chronic stress, and the lasting effects of high-stress or medically complex experiences. I work with people who are ready to build real, sustainable systems for their lives, not just talk about what's not working.
My approach blends structure with warmth. I use accessible, neuroscience-informed language because I think understanding why your brain and body do what they do is part of the healing process. I have particular experience working with clients navigating body disconnection, trauma-related anger, and the aftermath of significant medical or traumatic events.
I run an LGBTQ+ affirming practice grounded in the belief that safety and trust come first, always. Outside the therapy room, I love art and music, and I think a lot about how creative expression itself can be part of the healing process.
If you're ready for a space that feels like your own, I'd welcome the opportunity to work together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why "Mental Haven"?
The name says what I hope this practice will be: a haven for your mind, where safety isn't an afterthought, it's the foundation.
I started this practice because real therapeutic work can't happen without it. Not surface-level safety, but the kind that lets you stop bracing and just be where you are. So much of trauma, executive dysfunction, and chronic stress lives in a nervous system that's forgotten what safety feels like. My work is helping you find that again.
What types of therapy do you offer?
I provide individual virtual therapy in South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Florida, focused on trauma, executive functioning challenges like ADHD, and chronic stress. Healing comes in safety, so together we create a space where you can heal at your own pace, without judgment or pressure to perform. From there, we bring in practical, neuroscience-informed strategies so the progress you make actually holds up in your everyday life.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
If you're navigating trauma, stress, or challenges with executive functioning, therapy can be a valuable resource. It's a space to explore your feelings and develop coping strategies tailored to your needs.
What can I expect during my first session?
During your first session, we'll discuss your background, current challenges, and goals for therapy. This is a collaborative process, and I aim to create a comfortable environment for you to share openly.
